Educational Qualification Required For The Exam
Candidates who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 can apply for the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy. For the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy of National Defence Academy, the NDA qualification is a Class 12 pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates who are appearing in class 12 can also apply for the exam.
Nationality Criteria Required For The Exam
The candidate applying for the NDA exam must be either one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who moved to India, before January 1, 1962, to settle here permanently
(It must be noted that all foreign nationals are required to have a certificate of NDA eligibility criteria issued by the Indian Government. This certificate will not be needed in the case of those candidates who are Gorkhas of Nepal. )
Note:
- If a candidate qualifies for the NDA exam and gets selected for NDA needs to do an undertaking to not get married until the completion of the training.
- If they don’t follow this condition, they need to go through the debarment from NDA.
